Living Here
a place for HERITAGE
Chosen for its idyllic location, L’Orignal has a unique history. As the development’s name suggests, its origins date back to the seigniorial system, and is known within the region as the first seigniory to be established in what is now Ontario – the land was originally conceded in 1674. The story goes that the first people to discover L’Orignal’s potential for habitation arrived by water, a fitting story, as many still use the river for such recreational purposes today.
